Dr. Elizabeth Oak

Dr. Elizabeth Oak grew up in Northern Arkansas, where she spent her time camping, hiking, and developing a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the animals that shared it. Her veterinary journey began as an emergency veterinary assistant, a role she held for four years before pursuing her veterinary education at the University of Missouri.
A lifelong curiosity about science and medicine helped shape her path. When her childhood dog was diagnosed with cancer, Dr. Oak found herself asking questions and wanting to understand more about animal health. That curiosity has never faded. As she puts it, she’s still asking questions today.

While attending the University of Missouri, Dr. Oak completed an externship at Blue Mountain Animal Clinic and quickly fell in love with both the clinic and the trees of the Pacific Northwest. She is excited to be part of the Blue Mountain team and to care for the pets and people in the community.

When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Oak and her wife enjoy camping, hiking, swimming, and spending as much time in nature as possible. She also enjoys painting, drawing, and occasionally taking on woodworking projects.
At home, she shares her life with her wife Aubry and two memorable companions:
Mavis Rain, the baby of the family, has more energy than a 64-ounce Red Bull. She loves playing fetch and giving her moms’ a look of pure judgment.
Jolly Roger is an orange tabby and self-proclaimed scalawag who enjoys playing fetch and singing sea shanties to pass the time.

Dr. Oak looks forward to building lasting relationships with clients and helping their pets live happy, healthy lives.
