Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate person to join our team as a Veterinary Pharmacy Technician. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail along with great communication skills. As a Veterinary Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients by assisting in the preparation and dispensing of medications, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service to pet owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately preparing and dispensing prescription medication un the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.
• Providing clear and accurate instructions regarding medication administration.
• Maintaining pharmacy inventory.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records of prescriptions and inventory.
• Collaborating with the veterinary team to provide optimal patient care.
• Assisting clients with prescription refills and education/instruction in regard to the medications being prescribed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pharmacy setting, Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) or equivalent experience, preferred but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
• Proficient in basic computer skills and medical record-keeping
